Recipes?

Anyone have any easy recipes for jam or pasta sauce? I decided to make my own pasta sauce today while at the grocery store and found these great little freezer containers from Ball (the mason jar people) to store them, as many of the cheaper storage products aren't recommended for freezer use.

And they had a recipe for easy strawberry jam, but I thought I would see if any of you have anything better.

I've got a pasta sauce recipe that I love, but it is still packed somewhere. :-P

And for quick healthy meals, you might want to consider a pressure cooker. Beans and whole grains cook up so much quicker -- and with much less energy used too. Quiet smaller ones are not necessarily cheap, but the larger canning sizes are (try fleet farm) and it sounds like you might be heading toward a canning phase...

Here's the freezer jam recipe I grew up on - YUMMY.
1 c. water
1 package Sure Jell (pectin)
Boil hard for one minute.
Mix 3 1/2 c. crushed fresh berries with 6 c. sugar.
Pour water over berry mix.
Stir until sugar is disolved.
Poor into jars and cover (no need for wax). Let stand overnight before putting jars in freezer for best results.
