New idea

So here's the new idea for storage downstairs. I buy a pair of these bookshelves, or ones like them, and make doors out of simple wood frames and sized rice paper. Slightly less crazy than building them?

On the clothing front, I'm considering these pants for my business trip (for which they explicitly said no jeans) and then getting a top to go with my black tweedy pants. I have a pair of tan jeans that I will wear out there, which aren't "jeans" per se, and we don't have to do anything the first night except eat dinner at The Weber Grill. Apropo, no?

1) Classy and likely less crazy
2) Cute! (And nice price, too.)
3) Tan jeans definitely don't count at jeans, especially if you're just going out to eat.

1) Are you looking for a particular size? Why not get a bookshelf that already has a door too? IKEA? Home Decorators?
2)hmmm... you know your corporate culture better than I do, but to me "cargo" anything = still too casual and I'd try to find plain chinos. But they are cute!
3) yes, you are right- especially for traveling, I had no idea there was a weber restaurant.

Where are you going, again?

1. I would say go with something that already has doors. We have great ones from Ikea. I can send you pictures if you want.
2. I would also avoid cargo anything for a trip. Old Navy has great basic Chinos for good prices.
3. A weber restaurant? Odd. Tan jeans are not jeans. They are colored denim pants.

1. I think the pants are cute and don't totally fall under the "cargo" category since they don't seem to have loops and pockets lower on the leg.
2. Any denim, regardless of color, is still jeans to me.

woops - strike what I said. Now I do see the low pockets etc. But, I'm still going to go to Target and look for a pair myself. =)

I still think they could be dressed up enough for a casual dinner. If it's a more dressy dinner, can't do it.

That's my two cents. Really worth less than a penny.

1- If I were buying something I would look for something with doors already if I could find it cheap enough. I don't think it's crazy to build though either, but then again I'm a bit crazy so that doesn't say a whole lot!

2- While they are very cute, I would pass on the cargos for the trip as well. Nice price though!

3- Did the "no jeans" apply to meals too? I would think a dress code would be for meetings. I don't think anyone would notice the colored denim as jeans since they aren't a typical jeans color.

I'd have to agree with the IKEA proposal. You can probably get a better overall storage solution from them for a similar price point.

Those don't really LOOK like cargo's in person...
