Why I'm not even considering NaNo

  • The kids both have raving colds - and Pants and I are both coming down with it too.
  • I am training this week and the week after next, so I have to be at work by 8. Traffic is so bad that leaving by 7:15 doesn't guarantee it.
  • My house is a mess again and we haven't gotten our room cleaned out yet, either.
  • Have you met my children?
  • We have tons of mature trees - and haven't raked once yet.
  • Kitten is out of pants, and Pants is out of shirts.
  • I only have 6 pages left to go in one of my scrapbook albums - and if we can get our rooms switched, I can actually clean out my scrapbook area and finish.
  • Christmas is coming and much shopping and crafting needs to be done.
  • The Christmas cards are in and need to be addressed and sent.
  • I've started digital scrapbooking and might need to do more for presents.

Ok, you have your cards done?!?! Argh! I figured Penguin's so little and changing so quickly I'd at least wait until Nov to take her picture for the card so that she's grown less than two months before we actually hit Xmas. (If that makes any sense at all...)

Granted, November's less than a week anymore...

Sorry you can't join us this year. Hope you manage to stave off the worst of the cold!

Wow. I wish. I did buy my cards from the 75% off Christmas clearance last year. Now, if I can only remember where I put them.... No pictures or letters even thought of being started. UGH! On the bright side since I have no money and everyone knows it, I have SOOO many less gifts to buy.

I like digital scrapbooking. The great thing about it is you can make one and then just copy a bazillion of them! Okay, so I'm lazy. The Grandparents and relatives still love them and all it costs is a cd or dvd for each copy made. Save it as a slide show so it can be watched on tv, computer, and you can see it on one of those new digital picture frames too.

K, so the Christmas cards, under my own power, would not be done in October. But every year, MIL takes all the girls in to get a picture taken for her cards. She wanted to do it early this year, so we did it just to get past her anxiety of it, and the kids were doing so well, they got several great shots of all of them together and of the kids each in sibling groups. So even though I bought cards last year for about $10 after Christmas, I just had cards made at ProEx so it was over and done. And they were ready 3 days later. So I have a couple of weeks to work on addressing them.

That actually sounds not nearly as crazy. I had thought about being that good, but I have the same issue as Ms. Huis. in that Sprout will change so much between now and the holidays, that I'm hesitant to get them done too early. Especially when I can print at Target in an hour if needed.
